How does the thing property sync with kepware ?

Hi,

#1.  Updating a remote bound property writes its property value to data tag of Kepware

#2.  Updating the data tag writes value to the bound property

Will the  #2 trigger #1  one more time ?

for exmaple :  DataTagA  get changed  causing  PropertyA get changed ,  and  this changes on PropertyA  send to kepare and change the DataTagA again,  will it happen ?

Regards,

Sean

Hello @seanccc ,

Could you pls clarify more about the use case?

Does your query implies if DataTagA changes in kepware and you change PropertyA on ThingWorx and than again vice versa?

Kindly elaborate in detail.

Regards

Bhawna

Hi  Bhawna,

For the  DataTagA and PropertyA  ,  changes on either side will update the other side.  Here is the case :

Time       Action

t1             DataTagA changed

t2            PropertyA changed  because DataTagA changed

t3            will DataTagA get changed  again because PropertyA changed at t2  ?

Hi @seanccc.

Updates received into ThingWorx from Kepware should not trigger a looping effect.

Here's an article that provides details of the options for updating the property values, though it doesn't address your question specifically.

What version of ThingWorx are you running?  Are you running into issues?  Any errors in the logs?

Regards.
