Installation of Navigate 1.9.1 fails

Hi guys,

I'm setting up a Navigate environment for a customer and installation fails during "deploy thingworx.war" step.

The error I get in the ThingworxMSSQL_install.log seems to be:

Step changepassword_thingworx script failed :: 1

For information, I've set up a PingFederate server (on the same server).

I also attach all the logs I collected.

I've already checked all the first resolution steps (JAVA_HOME, user admin etc...)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Florent

It has been solved.

The problem came from an unauthorized character in ThingWorx administrator.

Be very careful when creating passwords, only a few number are valid.

One possible cause for the failure at Executing .\changepassword_thingworx in the log happens when there has been a previous install attempt on this server. The previous attempt may have left incompatible info in the Temp folder that interferes with the encryption of the password. To get past this condition:

  • Run the navigate uninstaller
  • Create a new Temp folder
  • Set environment variable TMP to location of new Temp folder
  • Try the install again
