Open new tab in background through navigation widget

Is it possible to open a new window from the navigation widget in the background?

sure let me be more specific. If I am using a desktop and choosing the option "New", a new tab is opened and the focus switches to the new tab. Is there a way to stay on the current tab and open the window as a tab in the background (=not in focus)?

Don't think that Browser (not ThingWorx) will allow you to do that, it will break security ;)
