Alan,

 

Can you provide if you are using ThingWorx Trial Edition or Analytics Trial Edition?

 

If so, are you selecting SSL for connection configuration in the Settings Screen in Analytics Builder?

 

This demo install is not capable of SSL use, and this option should not be selected.
