As a note for anyone reading this post in the future, the only place where the GitHub extension is hosted (source code and releases) is https://github.com/PTCInc/thingworx-gitbackup-extension.

If anyone has any issues with it the first step is to read the User Manual included in each release, then if the problem was not solved, to raise an issue here
