Hi All,
I am new to the concept of Thingwatcher. I have read gone through this article "https://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx_hc/thingworx_analytics_52/index.html#page/thingworx_analytics_7/thingwatcher-overview.html", and understood the concept of Thingwatcher. But I am still not clear on the implementation of it. Can you please help me with how to configure Thingwatcher and test it.

Hi @MM_9023322
You are referring to a very old and obsolete Help Center .
The ThingWatcher as described in this chapter is no longer available.
It is now only embedded within ThingWorx and used with anomaly alert.
See the Anomaly detection chapter in Help Center: https://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx/analytics/r9/en/#page/analytics%2Fanomaly_detection%2Foverview.html%23
Hope this helps
Kind regards
Christophe

Hello @cmorfin,
Thank you for your response. I was able to set up the environment by following the tutorial. I have data coming from kepware server. There are some spikes in my data which I wanted to highlight as alerts. I can see those spikes on my dashboard but not in my alerthistory. Dose it mean that the Anomaly Detection failed? Or is there any scan rate which I have to define?
Thank you.
Hi @MM_9023322
To check if the anomaly alert is ok or not, you can check its status. If it is in Monitoring state then it is active and working.
However if you have only temporary spikes, this will not be spotted by the anomaly detection. It needs the anomaly state to stay for a little while before being spotted.
This article https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS343163 should have some useful information to understand how it works.
Thanks
Christophe
