Anyone struggled with "Connections could not be acquired from the underlying database!" error after installing postgreSQL and trying to access Thingworx?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Removed "defaultValue": "twadmin" for the password element of the modelproviderconfig.json file which seems to have caused the error above and the access to Thingworx Composer was possible.

Changed a bit modelproviderconfig.json and now the error is "Improper value found for model provider configuration password, system cannot start without valid password"

Jörg, the modelproviderconfig.json provided with the ThinWorx download should work without any changes if you used default values (like twadmin; password etc) throughout. Just make sure it is placed in your root drive under ThingworxPlatform folder.
There are 2 places for password, "default value" and when the postgre url is declared. You can try to edit these two.
hi,
I'm unable to view your link. It seems to be blocked in my network.
Can you please post the details over here?
