Hi,
i am getting an error after importing the Three Model Viewer Extension from https://github.com/ptc-iot-sharing after updating to Thingworx 9. (https://github.com/ptc-iot-sharing/ThreeViewerWidgetTWX )
The error message is included in the attachment. The error occcurs on opening any mashup, so the designer is not even loading at all.
Are there any new properties or settings to apply to achieve compatibility in this TW Version? The validation check was fine.
Can anyone help me?
Nice regards,
Patrick
Hello @PF_9427478 ,
You need to extract the extension from it.
It is called ThreeModelViewer_ExtensionPackage_SRC.zip
Then you would be able to import it with no issues.
Please let me know if it works for you.
Hope it helps,
Hello @PF_9427478 ,
I am sorry I have got ahead of myself. After reading again your post I understand that you can import the extension without issues but you cannot view mashups. Is it possible to share the mashups that are not loading to try to reproduce the same ?
Thank you ,
thanks for your quick response. I tried your first solution and it did actually work.
However, the version provided in ThreeModelViewer_ExtensionPackage_SRC.zip is already 4 years old and not up to date.
What i tried is to use the release Version and uploaded it. https://github.com/ptc-iot-sharing/ThreeViewerWidgetTWX/releases/tag/1.5.0
Once I upload the extension and refresh the page, any mashup is not loading anymore and I am stuck with the errors mentioned before.
Thanks in advance,
Patrick
Hello @PF_9427478 ,
Seems the extension has some issue.
This extension is from ThingWorx Lab, which is not supported by PTC.
There is another option from Windchill extension.
There is an extension/widget called ThingView in Winchill extension package, and it can present the pvz file properly. https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS288755&posno=1&q=thingview&source=search
You would need as well the Utilities extension because it contains other prerequisites.
Hope it helps,
Thanks for the hint @Ciprian-Traian . But in this case it is not PVZ data that needs to be visualized. And the customer is not using Windchill. So we are looking for a more neutral solution to that and Three Model Viewer - until now - did the job.
How does PTC handle those customer requirements where the visualisation of 3rd party 3D data is a requirement?
