User Account Lockout : Minute Lockout Setting Understanding

Hi All,

From the document I read this,

Minutes Locked Out—Amount of time a user is locked out. By default, this is set to 15 minutes. For example, if a user attempts five unsuccessful logins within five minutes, the account is locked for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, the user has another five attempts.

After 15 minutes, the user account is automatically unlocked or how it works?

Please let me know.

HI @koushal

Yes after 15 min the user is automatically unlocked, unless Minutes Locked Out is set to 0 - see https://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx/platform/r9/en/index.html#page/ThingWorx%2FHelp%2FComposer%2FSecurity%2FUsers%2FUserAccountLockout.html

As an Administrator you can access the user's details page and untick the Locked checkbox to unlock the user sooner.

hope this helps

Christophe
