On the release advisor
https://release-advisor.ptc.com/releaseMatrix?releaseId=2006
in compatibility matrix it is mention that the InfluxDB 2.7.5 Open Source version is supported by ThingWorx 9.6.1.
And on support portal https://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx/platform/r9.6/en/index.html#page/ThingWorx/Help/Composer/DataStorage/PersistenceProviders/DownloadingAndInstallingInfluxDB1_x.html
the InfluxDB download link for open source are given for 1.8.10 version also.
We are upgrading from ThingWorx 9.3.8 to 9.6.1 so for that which InfluxDB open source version should we use?
The one which is mentioned on release advisor (InfluxDB 2.7.5 Open Source version)
or the one mentioned on support portal (InfluxDB 1.8.10 Open Source version)
With InfluxDB 2.7.5 Open Source version we need to change database to buckets which include many changes therefor we want to know if InfluxDB 1.x version is also supported by ThingWorx 9.6.1.
For questions like this I would recommend to contact PTC support instead of the forum because
1) You need a definitive, binding answer if it is supported or not. You don't want to rely on opinions for this.
2) You found is a contradiction between Documentation and RA which needs to be fixed. If no-one tells support/doc-team, they will not know.
Hi @PG_CG
I agree with @Rocko that a case will be needed for this so we can correct the discrepancy. I didn't find that a case had been created under your account so I will be creating one. If, however, a case was created under a different account within your organization, please private message me the case number and/or the contact name on the case.
Once the case is open, you will receive an email confirmation from eSupport, but I will also private message you the case number.
Regards.
