Hi @沁何_9210386

I recommend we open a case for this as we will have to engage with the License Mgmt team due to the age of the product you are running.  I will be happy to open the case on your behalf with your approval to do so.

Regards.

you can refer to article CS326319 (https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS326319) to get Device ID, and then request license with the device ID from PTC License Management at https://my.ptc.com/licensing/dashboard

Hi @Jimwang

I am not aware of any way to generate a license for ThingWorx 8.0 on the new licensing portal.  ThingWorx 8.1 introduced a change to the licensing model which is still in use today, but that licensing will not work with an 8.0 instance.  A case will be needed.

Regards.

@slangley , I missed the version information in the question, I totally agree with you that a case is necessary

Hi @沁何_9210386

I found that a case was opened for this issue but it's unclear what the solution was.  It would be helpful if you could share the solution with the community for other customers with the same issue.

Regards.

Hi @沁何_9210386

I checked further on your case and stand corrected on my statement in a previous response regarding the creation of an 8.0 license on the new License Mgmt Portal.  It is possible to create a license there, but there is a bug requiring a Device ID to be entered, and of course, an 8.0 instance does not have a Device ID.  I will be working with our teams on rectifying this issue, but don't have a timeline for correction.

There is an article on this and I have made some updates this morning.  However, it will still require a case due to the requirement to enter a Device ID.

I will provide more information on this as it becomes available.

Regards.

Hi @沁何_9210386

Just an update....The issue is still pending correction in the License Mgmt portal.  However, the article has been updated with a Device ID that can be used to allow customers to circumvent the issue without the need for a case.

Regards.
