Vuforia Chalk Slow Recognition

When starting a call there is a very long recognition time of the object/ environment before the call starts.

Network connection seems to be good and also lighting conditions; the device being used is Apple iPad mini 2 Wi-Fi + Cellular , what could be causing this slow recognition?
