Imported .DGN (Microstation) does not vae viewable

Hello,

I am trying to import a .dgn file (Microstation), import is very quick, .pvz is created (but inside does not have any viewable .ol files, only one .pvs file) but when I assign it to model - there is nothing in the scene, nothing displays.

Exported .dgn comes from this software and according to vendor it's version (v8) is on Supported CAD for Vuforia Studio:

Bentley MicroStation DGN

The following table lists the MicroStation DGN file versions that ArcGIS Pro supports:.

I also tried Vuforia Studio logs - no errors/warning during file conversion. I went to cmd line converter dgn2pv, turned on all verbose, nothing bad in logs.

I attach .dgn file. (it is zipped, so pls extract archive before importing)

Any hint would be appreciated.

Hello mneufeld,

I have used Bentley Viewer to be able to see something.

It is available at this URL :

https://www.bentley.com/fr/products/product-line/modeling-and-visualization-software/bentley-dgn-reader-for-windows

I have this result in Windows Explorer :

It seems a Drawing because when rotating, everything is in a plane.

In Vuforia Studio, I am able to reproduce the same behavior has described.

In .pvz file generated by Vuforia Studio, we can only find a .pvs file who is very short.

No .ol files who contains 3D geometry.

  • Do you want to import in Vuforia Studio this model or to do you expect a 3D model ?

Best regards,

Samuel
