ChangeOrder and ChangeNotice

Hello All,

I recently attended an interview where the interviewer asked the difference between

i) Change Notice and Change Order.

ii) Change Activity and Change Task.

I have always thought that the both terms represent the same object.

Please shed some light on the confusion.

Thanks in advance for the response.

Regards,

Hari R

In most systems Change Order and Change Notice are interchangeable terms.  Sometimes the CN is a formalized notification of a CO.

In Windchill we deliver a Change Notice.   Some will relabel and call it a Change Order.

Again in Windchill a Change Task or Activity are the same thing.  In the data model its called Change Activity (and it used to be called that in older versions of Windchill).  Today it is called Change Task in the interface.
