The scenario: In SharePoint, a person can vault two excel files with one containing a reference data link (such as a vlookup to a table) to a table of data contained in the second document. With the way SharePoint functions and references files, the vlookup function will operate correctly with both files stored in SharePoint. (A direct link is available to the latest revision of the document.)
We are exploring if we can have the same capability, but with both documents vaulted in Windchill. Essentially, the first document would then reference the data in the second document which is stored in Windchill.
Does anybody know if Windchill also has this capability? As far as I understand how things work it does not... but there is always a chance.
