I try, working in FRACAS, to import big enough structure of a product to "System tree", including a name and the description on each unit.

How it is possible in Relex 2011 Team Edition M040 to import structure of a product which comprises thousand components of "assemblages" / "child assembly" / "parts"? How to automate the given procedure, without specifying in manual for each element from the list to what assemblage it to carry (it it is possible to see at use of an option of import: "Tools" -> "Import Wizard"). For an example: how it is possible to write down in Excel the data for the subsequent import to a window of "System Tree", namely for a column "Name", but thus to make differentiations on "assemblages", "child assembly" and "parts"? Also it is not visible at import of the table of possibility for creation in a system tree of parts, at import "assemblages" and "child assembly" are created only. For an example I used structure from an example "Pocket PC". After import there were only "assemblages" / "child assembly" ("parts" are not present), thus it was necessary to create manually everyone "child assembly", and if such units of hundred?

Depending on the type of import (assemblies/parts or both) you will need to add two additional fields in the import:

1) Parent Assembly (use part number of the parent)

2) Part? (Is this a part 1=Yes, 0=No)

Hope it helps...

Kobus, thanks for the answer!

Here is how this procedure of import (with usage “Import Wizard”) and its results in FRACAS looks (look screenshots).
·"Part?" is used to determine if the component is a part or an assembly;
·"Level" defined the level of the component in the structure. Of course the sequence of the rows in the excel file matters.
