How to recover a deleted project or file in windchill risk and reliability (version 12.0)

Version: Windchill 12.0

 

Use Case: I'm trying to recover a project or files that were deleted accidentally.


Description:

I deleted a project/a lot of files accidentally when I was working with windchill risk and reliability and I trying to recover them, so my question is: how can I recover deleted projects/files in windchill risk and reliability?

In general in Windchill it is NOT possible to recover individual objects, or portions of DBs, deleted by mistake, but there are some exceptions.

Hi @MC_10477702 

It is difficult. If you delete something, it does not exist in a database anymore so it is hard to find what vault files are there that has not been removed yet and so on. 

So the best is recover the system  to a isolated network place and restore the data from working restored Windchill system from the Backup.

 

If you do not have a backup, it is big fail.
