When I heard that Microsoft bought them, I figured this would come. We been running a Sun shop for a while but recently moved this app to Windows. I wonder if PTC will start shopping for a new search engine now.
Well, they've got until July of 2018 to move to another engine. That would be a longer run than Verity and RetrievalWare combined if PTC sticks with FAST that long.

PTC will use the open source Apache Lucene/Solr with the next version of Windchill and Insight.
