Is there a way to still get a thumbnail viewable to display in the details header section if drawings are published to PDF instead of theOotB HPGL/PLT files? We are on Windchill 9.1.
No, I just asked that question of PTC yesterday. At least not in 9.1. In 10, yes.
Here is what PTC said: The basic requirements to have thumbnails for those PDFs:
- Install the Creo View Adapters 1.0 M030 - Install Acrobat Reader X to CAD worker - Run <creo_view_adapters>/pview_batch/resources/acrobat/CreoElementsView_Acrobat_Plugin.msi on CAD worker
Configure a Pro/ENGINEER worker out of the Creo View Adapters 1.0 Adapters installation and with your recipe file set for PDF output you should now have thumbnails.
Also it is important to set the correct server version during the worker configuration or you may encounter CS22764 when publishing a Pro/ENGINEER drawing:
