PURGE A FOLDER OF A PRODUCT

Is it possible to purge a specific folder of a Product in Windchill?

I can purge a Product

Hello Kshetrabasi,

Basically, we cannot purge Products/Libraries/Organizations/Projects or even Folder. We only Purge the Windchill objects i.e. EPM Documents, Documents and Parts.

So as to Purge this object you first need to locate them into windchill.

Creating a Query means you need to select the Desired Product from Step No. 2 i.e. "Context Criteria" and once you select a check box against it, It will show you the Folder under that Product in the Right pane.

Now in Step no. 3 You need to Select the object which you are desiring to purge.

Find the attached snapshot for more explanation.

Let me know if you need more details.

I do not think that its possible to purge a folder and not even Product.

Can you list down the steps you have executed ?

Hi Harshal,

While making a new query for purge manager; there are there steps

1.Details

2.Context Criteria

3.Selection Criteria

In the Context Criteria there is option to select or exclude Products

I excluded all products except One Product; Resulting in Purging only One Product only

Harshal Sir

Thank you for giving me the exact solution

I agree with you that the initial question asked by me was wrong (PURGE A FOLDER OF A PRODUCT)

My Intension was to purge EPM Documents of a folder of a Product

But as we keep EPM Document, Document and Parts in different folders; So I asked about Purging a Folder.

Thank You for correcting my question as well as giving the solution

Hello Kshetrabasi,
