Query Builder - Save as SQL

I've noticed that some of my queries have the "Save as SQL" option enabled and some disabled. Any idea what prevents this option?

If you select the hyperlink option for Object then the "Save ad SQL" gets disabled.

Report Builder UI itself is very flaky. Sometimes the updates to the reports does not get saved.
