Question on ProductView Adapters CAD Worker Update

Hi All,

I have a sandbox server that is currently running PDMLInk 9.1 M010
associated with a box running CAD Workers using Product View Adapters 12.1
with Wildfire 5.0 M060. I am in the process of switching to PDMLInk 10.0
M010. I need to update the CAD Worker box to the Creo View Adapters 10.0
M010.

Has anyone performed this update? I do not see any uninstall capability
for the ProductView Adapters, especially the CAD Worker Service. Would it
be cleaner to just wipe out all installed products on the CAD Worker box
and install fresh?

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben,

When I updated our worker I installed a new adapter and a new Pro/E (Creo) on our existing worker.

I just installed the new adapter to a different directory C:\ptc\productview_adapters1 and left the original in C:\ptc\productview_adapters and it all seems to work fine.

In the Worker Execution Command of the Worker Configuration Wizard just point to the proeworker.bat that's in the new path - They seem to coexist.
