I am currently facing an issue with modifying the default "Required" view in Windchill. Despite having wcadmin permissions, I cannot replace or update this system-level view. Here's a detailed overview of what I've tried and observed:
What I Need:
I want to replace the existing default "Required" view with a custom configuration that better suits my requirements. I do not want to create a new view; my goal is to overwrite or modify the existing one.
The same thing for Edit Multiple Objects
Steps I Followed:
- I exported the "Required" view configuration to an XML file from Windchill.
- I added the following TableColumnDefinition to the XML file:

- I imported the updated XML file back into Windchill to apply the changes.
- After completing the import, I refreshed the page to check if the changes were applied.
- The newly added column IBA|fr.satys.plm.SecondaryReferencedid not appear in the "Required" view as expected.
NB:
When I modified the <name> of the view in the XML file (e.g., changing it to a new name) and imported it, I was successfully able to see the newly created view with the name I provided.
However, this is not the result I want — I need to modify the existing "Required" view directly, not create a new one.
⚠️And I can confirm that I am not even able to delete the existing "Required" view and replace it by importing my modified version.⚠️
