We noticed this in April 2012 (C10793504) on our Windchill 10.0 M030 system when PDF files were getting returned in search results that should not be, and the correct ones would not show up.
It turns out that the software PTC is using, Tika to index the PDF files, jumbles the words all up; example below.
I expect others have similar, but un-diagnosed issues. I am disappointed that I still have no patch, or SPR resolution on a valuable significant piece of core Windchill functionality that got broken when we upgraded from 9.1.
My goal with this email is to shed light on this in the community, so more attention is put to resolving this issue. If you have seen this please speak up. If you have any workaround I would also be very interested.
