I have a custom role called Designer and on WTPart in Concept state I have set Access Policy as "Read" and "Download".
I see that user in this role can move the WTParts across folders in the same Product and Domain.
Is there any Access Policy which can block this movement?
In WC10, on the Team GUI, you can use the "Configure Actions for Roles" action, and remove the abliity for the "Designer" Role to execute the "Move" action. But this will prevent the Design role access to the Move action for all WTPart, CAD and WTDocument objects all states. This may not be the functionality you are looking for.
There are 3 permissions related to move.
These allows an object to leave where it is and is applied where the objecy starts: Change Domain / Change Context
This allows an object to enter the new place and is applied there: Create by Move
The only difference for the first two is moving between contexts (e.g. Product 123 to Library 456) vs. moving inside a context.
Thanks Michael and Mike for the response.
But unfortunately, I am trying to block the movement of objects inside of a Product container itself.
Possible option left would be to use a separate domain for this kind of folder and no sub-foldering to be allowed for the roles.
Also, deny Change Domain so that movement would get blocked to other folders in same Product which use the regular domain.
