Best fit curve from datum points
I would like the ability to create a best fit line, circle, or arc from datum points. I frequently have to go back and forth from NX to CREO to get this functionality. You should be able to select graphically, or by pointset feature and create a line, circle or arc and also know the average and max deviation.

100% agree. I have to also go back and forth from NX for this function.

Well, it's nice that you still agree with yourself 😉
Anyway, you should publish a product idea for this.

Hi V_1,
if I am not mistaken, a curve-fit function is part of the 'scan-tools' tool set (if that even still exists).
There you can (could?) create independent geometry (curves, surfaces-) based on points, existing curves etc, with smooth, simplify, set deviation etc.
Could you post an example pointset?
I just checked. I was wrong. 'Independent geometry' does not allow to create straight lines, circles etc. from points.
But adjusted copies from the original geometry based on deviation.
