This might be an “us” issue but we have an issue where the internal browser for Creo (version 9) is defaulting to the wrong SSO authenticator for Windchill when we try to connect Creo. We are in a company transition so our server exists on our old corporate network which we have opened up access to. On our laptops, we are logged in as users in the new company. In Chrome or Edge, we are able to create dual profiles in those browsers and leverage “other user” when connecting to Windchill. No issues so far. Also most all users do get this option in Creo and it has worked. Where we have seen this is if the user tried to connect with new company credentials and browser remembers it. Clearing cache seemed to fix this. We just switched from Creo 7 to Creo 10. There used to be a way to import a saved drawing sketch into a new drawing. I can’t locate that function in Creo 10. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi everyone,When I try to integrate a custom family table into IFX, I am unable to select a length, only the thread size.The parameter LG does not seem to be readable. We are using two life cycle for our product. CAD item and WT partCAD item which is used for Drawing release- Concept/ Release/InworkWT part which is for shop floor people to Identify wehter the product is Prototype/production.For CAD item to show inthe drawing - we use &PTC_WM_LIFECYCLEFor WT part to show in the drawing - we use &PTC_WM_PART_STATE_FOR_DRAWINGwe cant add this parameter in the drawing. its throws error (The name is reserved ).Please help us.Thanks in Advance.
Creo has since creo 11 the possibility to use tables as an annotation in a 3D Model and to show them on combined states. The issue is you cant show these tables directly in a 2D drawing files, so you have to copy the table on the harddisk and then to reimport it in the drawing file without a depenmdence. The idea is it that if there are tables shown on combined states that they can be also shown like normal dimensions and symbols on drawing in an associative way. so that if someone edite the table in the model the drawing will show an updated version.
Using Creo 10 on Windows 11. How do I write the metrics and reports to a user folder using the config_init.mc file? Target Directory“C:\data\<username>\Creo10\mc_report” Some details that may help. 1) We do set a username system variable that I could key into.2) The “Creo10” folder level is the working directory which we set. I’d wanted to model one of those twisted flouresent light bulbs for a while, thought I’d do it for fun. Only, instead of a simple barrel shape like they are, I made it look (though not measured) like a normal incandescent bulb. I actually HAD a watch with radium numbers and hour and minute hand tips that was given to me as a kid by my grandfather (RIP). When the big radium paranoia happened in the late ‘60’s or early ‘70’s my mom made my dad throw it away. Bummer.
Hi,I installed Creo 13.4.1.0. When I click on "Creo AI Assistant," the program prompts me to log in; I enter the same email and password I use for the PTC portal, but it doesn't work.Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need to create new login credentials?Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer.
When you modify a feature which a round relies on and some of the rounds/ chamfers fail because of missing references - have an option to remove only the rounds rounds/ chamfers which are missing references but keep rounds/ chamfers which still have their references intact

Hello all,I’m interesting in hearing from anyone that has used the Creo UG/NX Collaboration tool?We are starting manufacturing a product in the UK that is currently manufactured by our sister company in Germany. They have all the cad data in NX, but I think they use windchill as data management. The question is, does this extension really allow you to edit the NX data in CREO. I have seen something similar in Solidworks where it interrogates the CREO model and basically redraws the part in Solidworks automatically. This produced something that looked correct on the outside but the way the model was generated didn’t make much sense and consequently made editing difficult.I suspect that I’m going to have to redraw the parts on CREO manually as they are mostly sheet metal components, and I am doubtful that the conversion will be seamless.Does anyone have experience of this? Bearing in mind these converted files will be used for manufacture and be subject to revisons. Brian MenaghDesi

Hi everyone, Reference topic: Midnight Theme not loading from default. | Community has anybody figured out how to change icons when using Midnight theme? Most of them are OK as they are, but some (such as Edit references) are almost indistinguishable from the background. I found the folder, where the icons are stored (Common Files\text\resource), but unfortunately it seems, that when Creo starts, icons are not loaded from here. I also tried deleting creo_parametric_customization.ui files in CommonFiles/text and in Start folder, but to no success. After trials and discussions with AIs, it seems that the only way is to create small mapkey macros for all such problematic icons and replacing system icons with custom ones where I can use my light variants of the icons. Is there some other way that you know of, how to do it easier?

Hi everyone, i have tried all settings in Creo illustrator standard (12.1) and have changed my line thickness for 2D and it still no luck in seeing two different line thickness when opened in Adobe illustrator.Below is what i have done.Render mode set to HLR Change pen settings - In File/Options/illustration/Pens/Thick/edit - changed 0.35 - Apply Change pen settings - In File/Options/illustration/Pens/Thin/edit - changed 0.25 - Apply Export to svg - File/Save Figure as/Save as illustration file/File name - Tick Thick/Thin lines - Tick Polylines - Tick Fixed Size - Include hotspots for callouts - Tick Combine hot spots for same item. then click “OK” Open file in Adobe illustrator and all lines are the same thickness, so no difference in line thicknessNOTE: Only other change is my 3D page size to W170mm x H242mm When viewing in Creo Illustrator HLR i do not see line thickness difference either, not sure if you are supposed to.Thanks for any helpKind regards Gareth

I am using Windchill Service Information Manager Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.3 The Windchill Method Servers is crashing or fluctuating between Up and Down states. We are experiencing unexpected restarts and service interruptions. Please see the attached Method Server and Server Manager logs. After this we add-on the Heap size for server. Here are the errors that I faced 2026-09-10 10:22:16,641 ERROR [ajp-nio-127.0.0.1-8010-exec-5] com.ptc.ms.jwt.controller.JWTController Satyarth.S - Exception occurred : Failed to create token to send Feature Usage report to PTC as the port 443 is blocked. When saving a copy of a part in Creo Parametric give the option to ‘save a copy and open’ This option is available when saving a copy of assemblies, why not parts?
We are currently considering how best to design a frame using Creo Multibody, and we would like to ask for your advice on the most appropriate workflow.From a design perspective, the frame can essentially be considered as one box-shaped structure. Therefore, we would prefer to design the entire frame as a Multibody Part rather than creating and managing multiple individual Parts from the beginning.However, from a manufacturing perspective, the actual frame is divided into four sections: the top, bottom, left side, and right side. Each section is manufactured and welded separately, and these four sections are eventually assembled to form the completed box-shaped frame.This creates a difference between the way we would like to design the frame and the way it is actually manufactured.At the moment, we are not sure which approach would be the most appropriate in Creo: Keep the frame as a single Multibody Part throughout the design process and somehow use the individual bodies for manufactu
In Creo 3D MBD, when a dimensions is created (Annotate->Dimension) a Select Reference window will popup.Default options active is Select a surface means you can select only surfaces.Designers would like to Default to be active Select a reference means you can select even edge, planes, axis or surfaces without switching between Entities or Surfaces.It’s frustrated for end users always when a dimensions is created to change this Reference type.
