Our new Creo Community Challenge focuses on two powerful tools that are already included with your base Creo installation: the Advanced Framework Extension (AFX) and the Intelligent Fastener Extension (IFX). What the Challenge Is AboutAFX (Advanced Framework Extension) helps you quickly design structural frameworks using standard steel and aluminum profiles. It simplifies the creation of frames, supports, and welded assemblies, and makes it easy to modify your design as it develops. IFX (Intelligent Fastener Extension) lets you insert industry-standard fasteners such as bolts, nuts, washers, and screws, with automatic hole creation and intelligent placement. It ensures that your fasteners fit correctly and that your assemblies look realistic and complete. The challenge is to combine AFX and IFX to design something practical, creative, or just plain fun. The goal is to show how these two extensions can work together to build realistic structural assemblies with automated intelligence. C

Creo Parametric 12.4.4.0I want to the empty view because I write the notes. please teach me. how to make a empty view box.
What is the best procedure for using current 2D layouts in Creo? This involves large factory layouts built from multiple ME10 2D parts.
Creo Parametric 12.4.4.0です。寸法公差を入力したいのですが、選択部分への入力がアクティブになりません。入力可能になる設定もしくは方法を教えてください。 ファイル→準備→図面プロパティ→詳細オプション→ も実行したのですが。
Is there a Drawing Option setting that would allow the default diameter leader to be the single outside point (like on the left) instead of the double inside (like on the right).Currently, we have to double click and then middle click to create the .625 dimension, then you have to deselect, left click to re highlight and right click to flip the arrows. 90% of our diameter dimensions end up with the single arrow, so we would like this to be the default config option. Thanks PTC Community! This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I use a Wacom Tablet for daily use. I would love it if the User Interface/tabs would be allowed to move to the bottom of the screen. Yes I am lazy but bringing my pen to the top of the screen to move through the tabs is more difficult since they are at the top of the screen than if they were at the bottom of the screen. I use my stylus with the brush tool in Freestyle to move nodes around, so someone at PTC is thinking outside the box to make this more Stylus friendly, customization of the user interface would be a logical next step to make this easier to use.Does anyone have a script or a way to change this?
Hi,Creo tells me that embedded components in an inseparable assembly are missing:How is this possible? My understanding is that those components are saved in the assembly file-how can they be missing?
HiI am experiencing a visualization issue in Creo Ansys Simulation. (12.4.2.0)The simulation completes successfully and the result legend/color scale is displayed correctly. However, when viewing the results, the part is displayed as a wireframe and the contour plot (fringe colors) is not shown on the geometry. The issue occurs across all simulation types and result types that I have tested. An interesting observation is that when I start a result animation, the contour colors immediately appear and are displayed correctly during the animation. Once the animation stops, the model returns to the wireframe-only display.Has anyone encountered this behavior before? Thanks
Hello. It is posible to rout a pipeline and add a fittings using toolkit in creo piping? Anybody has such expiriens? Looks like posible to get some information about pipes in creo, but not posible to create new features...
Hello PTC community, I'm using Creo Parametric 9.0.4.0 and would like to perform simulations. Apparently, the Simulate is grayed out but Flow Analysis is not. Is this licensing issue or something else? Thanks,SR
Hi everyone,I am simulating the attached link mechanism (car seat flip-up with leg folding) in Creo MDO.(To get operating torque for seat flip up at each angle) However, the measured motor torque varies significantly depending on the flip-up motor speed and the minimum interval settings. In my current model, I observed the following: Motor speed: 10 deg/s Minimum interval: 1 to 0.01 Result: Motor torque oscillates significantly. Motor speed: 1 deg/s Minimum interval: 1 or 0.1 Result: Stable torque results. Motor speed: 0.1 deg/s Minimum interval: 1 to 0.01 Result: Simulation fails because the slot connection breaks. Based on these results, it seems that using a slower motor speed and a smaller minimum interval does not always improve simulation stability. Could anyone explain why this behavior occurs and share any recommendations for improving the stability of MDO simulations? Any best practices for selecting motor speed, interval settings, or other solver parameters would be greatly
All,CREO 8: Is there an easy way to not have multiple lines in bom for flexible components in assembly? No duplicates or No duplicate level does not work. I saw something about editing the bom. I did not understand itI tried using family tables instead of flexible models, but having the same problem with multiple lines.WayneF
We recently moved from Creo Parametric 9 to 12 and me and several colleagues have an issue with dimensioning in sketcher. Sometimes I have to retry multiple times to create a dimension between lines/ points etc. The mouse does snap but sometimes the dimension is just not created and nothing happens. Does anyone recognize this and has a possible solution?
According to the developer guide tkusetoc, this function supports passing a drawing view argument to display annotations only in the target view starting from Creo Parametric 2.0 M060. The official documentation states:From Creo Parametric 2.0 M060 onward, you can specify the view in which the annotations for the selected feature and component must be displayed. For the functions ProAnnotationByFeatureShow() and ProAnnotationByComponentShow(), specify the view where the annotations must be displayed. If you pass the input argument view as NULL, the annotations are displayed in all the views. However, during practical development, the function returns error code -9 (PRO_TK_NOT_IMPLEMENTED) whenever a valid non-NULL ProView handle is passed to the view parameter. When passing NULL to the view argument, all annotations are displayed across every drawing view as documented, which works as expected. My business requirement is to show feature annotations exclusively in a single specified draw
Hello,I am working on a Creo Toolkit customization that needs to identify features created from a UDF and generate sequences based on the original UDF feature names. As described in CS196043, when a UDF is placed in Creo Parametric, the feature names from the source UDF are not preserved in the resulting model. Because of this behavior, I cannot directly compare the placed feature names with the original UDF feature names. However, in the UDF Placement dialog, under the Options tab, the "Redefine These Features" section displays the original feature names from the source UDF. This information appears to be available somewhere internally within Creo.I reviewed the Creo Toolkit API documentation but could not find an API that provides access to the original UDF feature names. My question is:Is there any Creo Toolkit API that allows access to the original feature names shown in the "Redefine These Features" list? If not directly, is there another supported method to retrieve the mapping betw
Hi, everyone! I was wondering: is there a way to set in parameters or templates the bend position to “add geometry” instead of standard option to the keep wall profile? I would like to have it as default for all my designs from the beggining instead of having to set it manually on every new design. Bend position. Thanks in advance.
Hey,I have used zone section view, I want to increase the X-Hatching size in my drawing view. How can I do it?
Hi All,Is it possible using ProMdlCombStateCreate routine to set different visibility styles(show, blank, wireframe, etc) for several solid object (prt, asm) in the model as in the interactive CREO session? Thanks.
!--scriptorstartfragment-->Hello, I would like to simulate a mechanism consisting of a pendulum (Point A), a pulley (Point B), and a slider (Point C) in an assembly. The conditions are:- The wire between Point A and Point C is inextensible (constant length, no stretch, no slack).- The wire passes over Point B (pulley).- The pendulum is rigid one-part. My questions are: 1. Is it possible to build such an assembly model using relations or other Creo mechanisms?2. Can this model be used for motion simulation in MDO (Mechanism Dynamics Option)? I tried using relations based on measured distances (Analysis → Measure). However, it seems that the measure feature cannot be used on the left-hand side of a relation, so I could not enforce the constraint properly. Does anyone have suggestions for modeling this kind of system in Creo?(I am useing Creo11) Thank you in advance.``!--scriptorendfragment-->
Hola - We use CreoNC extensively - however, we use Vericut for simulation and never have built a machine model for use within Creo. I’m attempting to do that now.At no point have I been able to make the kinematic machine model appear in the Creo NC window. I’ve read the (thin) information available. I’ve asked Gemini. I then went to the Knowledge Base and downloaded the FADAL VMC file (close enough to the vertical mill I created) and I can’t get that to work either.I am using Windchill - maybe that’s the issue since I don’t have the machine in the pro_mfg_workcell folder, though I did browse to where it is and it accepted the entry.I also cannot find “Machine Play” anywhere, either in NC or ProProcess.Licensing issue? TIA
I have been using CREO MDO for some time to evaluate forces, crank torques etc. It works very well. But what's the best way to dynamic balance a complex mechanism such as a internal combustion engine in MDO?
I would like to set Measured MAX and MIN Value in MDO within a certain range for BMX Constraint.Model Motion is Rotating 0~90 degree range and MAX and MIN value in whole degree range can be selected in BMX without settingBut are there any way to set MAX and MIN value in a certain degree range (i.e. 30~60deg)? (attached file is simple model for this question. so, I hope solution wihtout modifying MDO setting)
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.6.0 I currently need to work from home, so I am using the Home Edition license of PROE_DesignEssH in my home office environment. I need to open *.drw files created by my colleagues using PROE_DesignEss (155) (which includes the Creo Language Option License—CHINESE (formerly Pro/ENGINEER)), but the Chinese characters in these files appear as squares (unreadable). How can I resolve this issue, since I need to continue working from home? Thank you. Here are the errors that I faced The characters are displayed as squares (unrecognizable)
