I have been using CREO MDO for some time to evaluate forces, crank torques etc. It works very well. But what's the best way to dynamic balance a complex mechanism such as a internal combustion engine in MDO?

I am using Creo Simulate Release N/A and DatecodeN/A Running Creo Simulate version 10.0.10.0. I´m running a non-lineal simulation with contacts with linear material. Loads are only prescribed displacements. Model check shows no issues. Run without issues unload and 2 steps, then fail. Attached message. Model has 116259 elements and 10 contacts. I am using Windchill Bulk Migrator Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.0.2 Hello Team, When I ran the windchill --javaargs="-Dwt.auth.trustedAuth.username=* " com.ptc.windchill.migration.wbm.loaders.wc.epm.Preverifier have some of the objects are failed, which will be attaching , just for giving to you the Info, I Have got error code as FT"20470" in ERROR Table - I have fallowed the article : cs275076 and Point #1. Especially. Now the question, is 22 Document numbers are deleted from INT_EPMDOCUMENTMASTER and sub sequent table records count was reduced. If the customer has asked an question that, why those are not loaded. what to answer them ? HiI am on Creo 10.0.1.0While features such as Holes, Rounds, Chamfers etc can be grouped using query in Layers, wondering if the same can be done in the “Design Tree”.Filtering the design tree and dragging and dropping the features into the custom group is a manual process which we would like to avoid. The reason being, every time a new feature such as a round is added, it would not become a part of the custom group, without a manual intervention.Help documentation is silent on this aspect.I am aware that this can be done through layers.Thanks in advance.

I am using Creo Elements/Direct Modeling Release N/A and DatecodeN/A I have completed the account registration process. However, when I access Manage Licenses from eSupport, I receive the following error message and cannot proceed with the installation. "Access Denied. You do not have the required permissions. I’m using the new flat pattern dxf export feature in CREO 13 and so far it is working very good.However to further automate my workflow, I would love to include the thickness and possibly the material in the filename.In the export dialog, I tried setting the file name to:&model_name_&smt_thicknessbut that gives an illegal characters error. Is there any way to do this? Additionally it would be convenient to export any parameter as text like you can export width and length currently.

Hello everyone,I am running Creo Parametric 11.0.5.0 Education on Windows 11 ARM inside Parallels Desktop 20.4 on an Apple Mac mini M4 Pro with 12 Cores and 24 GB of RAM for the Virtual Machine.After adding the following lines at the beginning of parametric.psfENV=PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE=AMD64ENV=PRO_MACHINE_TYPE=x86e_win64Creo starts and works correctly in Shaded mode. However, as soon as Shaded with Edges is enabled, severe graphical corruption appears. Hundreds of incorrect black lines are drawn between unrelated vertices. The surfaces themselves are rendered correctly.Interestingly, during the first second while the model is still loading, the edges are displayed correctly. The corruption only appears after the loading process has finished.Changing edge_display_quality from very_high to low only changes the edge quality but does not solve the issue.Larger assemblies also eventually crash with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION.Trying the same on an older MacBook Air M1, Creo runs significan

Has anyone got any training materials or tips on using Creo manufacturing functionality to program a wire EDM machine? We have a “Complete Machining” license. I’ve been using the standard 3-axis milling functionality (with a 0.010 inch “endmill”) to generate the necessary G-code for 2D profiles. It’s fine, I guess. My problem is when I need to define non-2D cuts. I’ve been resorting to creating points at the different Z heights of the cuts and “processing” them via Excel to create G-code with the necessary X, Y, U, and V values. It’s not fun.So, if anyone has been doing wire EDM programming and wants to point me to any information that might make it more efficient for me, please let me know. Perhaps there are 4- or 5-axis methods that would work, with the proper post-processor? Will I have to write my own post?

Is it possible to show the hole note as a column in the hole table instead of just the diameter?

Is it possible to trim a radial axis pattern centerline ina drawing? ie: A bolt hole pattern centerline?Solution: Turn view into a partial view and cut off the excess centerline with view spline. I'm using Creo Parametric 11.0.4.0. When I do File > Save As > Save a Copy and pick Creo View (*.pvz), the export fails and the message bar says "Creo View recipe file(proepview.pvr) can not be found." Here's what I've tried so far.In the Options dialog I left the three recipe fields blank and I saved the profile to confirm they really were empty.I looked in the config.pro and config.sup in Common Files and didn't see anything about recipes or Creo View. I also couldn't find intf_pv_recipe_dir or intf_out_pvs_recipe_file in the Configuration Editor, even though older posts mention them. When I searched my install, I found proepview.pvr in Common Files\applications\cvadapters\prodview\recipe, and export_pvs.rcp in Common Files\text\prodview. An older post here said they should be in the same folder, so I copied proepview.pvr into text\prodview. I also pointed export_profiles_creoview at that folder, restarted Creo, and tried again, but I still get the same error.Does anyone know w

I am trying to design a 2 stage epicyclic geartrain in Creo. i have assembled the sun, planet and ring gears of the two stages separately. how do I assemble the two stages together? the output from the planet carrier of the first stage would be the input to the sun gear of the second stage through a splined shaft.What constrains should I use and where?Or should i assemble everything in one assembly? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all.Is there a way in Creo 9 on a drawing to move both witness lines for dimension together?  Sometimes I would like the gap closer or farther away on one specific dimension and I end up moving both independently and just eyeballing to make them about the same side-to-side.The only workaround I’ve found is to add a dummy dimension and use control to select that and my real dimension together then move one witness line and they all 4 move together.  The go back and delete the dummy dimension.I’ve seen the how-to’s on the PTC site and other users descriptions, like selecting the dimension and the drawing view using ctrl but that never works for me!Thanks in advance!Brad

I have an assembly with almost 500 parts in it.  Is there a way to change all the densities at once?  More ideally, I would like to be able to select large groups and change, say ~300 parts to one density, then select another large group (steel), say ~200 parts to change to a different density (aluminum).  I do not want to have to change the density part by part in the model tree showing MP_Density.  I would prefer solution where I can select the large groups, then change all their densities together in a few steps.     Thanks, Will

Hi Creo Community, I am trying to use Creo Trial via PTC and am having issues installing it on my machine (Windows 11), and I would like to see if anyone has had the same issue, and if so, could let me know what fixed it for them. After calling PTC support, they have said they don’t help with Creo Trial issues and that I should ask community.ptc.com for help even if I have a past customer number with PTC.The issue: I am able to download the file “Creo Parametric 13.4.0.0 CloudPlay” (2.5MB) from the Trial page, but when I try to install using this .exe I either get to the Creo Parametric splash screen and it hangs for hours or the splash screen disappears and the .exe file auto-deletes itself from my Windows Explorer “Downloads” folder.I have tried turning off the Windows Defender Firewall and running the .exe file as an administration, but the issues seem mostly the same. If anyone has be able to get through similar issues, please let me know, thank you

I’m trying to replace a 3x3x3/16 steel square tube with a 3x3x.25 aluminum tube.  In 3 positions the switch worked.  The other positions will ‘churn’ and then not update the filename and the OK will stay greyed out.  What is happening and is there something i can do? Only 3 positions were updatedYou can see that it won’t update the filename.  I’ve switched from steel to alum.The message log says that its been regenerated but that's not the case

I have fastener holes on a curved feature that looks likes it was created with a resolve. I checked the fastener hole edge curves on both sides of this feature, which is nonplanar. One side of the hole is made up of two split arc edges. The other side of the hole is made up of two spit spline edges. The spine edges is an issue in creating a fastener in Simulate. I tied to use the Round to edit the spines but if this is the correct tool I can’t figure out how to replace the spine edge with arc edges.  Does anyone know the approach to doing this? I only have the Creo Parametric not any advanced design add-on licenses.

I am using Windchill Bulk Migrator Release 13.1 and Datecode with CPS 13.1.2.0 We are performing a CAD data migration using Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) from a source Windchill system to a target Windchill 13.1.2.0 system. The migration involves CAD files such as Creo .PRT files. The physical CAD content is successfully copied/moved to the target vault and the file is present at the expected target file path with the expected physical filename. However, when the primary CAD content is downloaded from the target Windchill UI, the downloaded file is given a .PHA extension instead of the expected .PRT extension. Please advise how to correctly migrate/load the CAD content so that a Creo .PRT file is downloaded with the correct .PRT extension.
