i have spent the past 6 hours trying to figure out how to make a bicycle chain. the youtube videos are of no help at all as all the information they show is hard to see. so far i have made a single part of the chain and the chain links. how do i model them onto a chain shape?i know you have to use datum points but when i do the pattern of datum points it make a similar shape to the chain but much smaller.how do i know what the offset of each of my datum points is and how do i make the pattern of datum points the correct size. this is the video reference i have been using as a tutorial.
