Creo 2 Assembly Regeneration Weirdness

Creo 2 Assembly Regeneration Weirdness

Good Morning!

I have an assembly with 50+ parts. All of the parts regenerate just fine on their own, without errors. When the assembly is saved, a warning comes up showing parts that need to be regenerated. When clicking on the yellow light button, all of the parts show up as regenerated. Clicking on regenerate does nothing.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? I wonder if it's a 2.0 bug?

Thanks,

Yes, it seems to be a CREO 1.0 bug as well. I have been testing CREO 1
M030 for about 2 weeks now, comparing it to WF 5 M120.

I have the system constantly warning me that my mass properties have not
been calculated, especially on save, even though I have this set to
automatic and a manual check shows the mass properties as correct. Also
the little light button can be clicked in drawing mode (the arrow
changes to a hand), but the click does nothing. What is really annoying
is the little yellow triangle with the exclamation point that shows up
in the windows taskbar on top of my CREO icon. I can't find any
comprehensive dialog that will tell me just what the heck needs
regeneration. The CAD system obviously knows.

This is not how it works in WF5.

Has anyone else seen weird layer behavior where items that are supposed
to be hidden based on their layer status show up in the drawing anyway?
They only way to have them remain hidden is to turn off 'drawing layer
status overrides part status' or similar in drawing mode.

I’d like to thank everyone for their input. From most of the responses, it sounds like we’re not alone with this issue. At this point, there still isn’t a solution, but if we do discover one I will definitely post it here.

Thanks,

-Dave

Please keep us updated. We have not experience any issues on our end with Creo 1.0 M030. I would still like to know what is causing this for some people and what fix is found.

Thanks
