Creo Parametric 3.0 - Templates Problem

Creo Parametric 3.0 Templates don't work/load when trying to create a new part, why?

Hi,

if you want to create your own startup part, then:

• create new empty directory, for example C:\PTC\mytemplates
• create part representing your template (for example myprt.prt) and save it into C:\PTC\mytemplates directory
• put following options into config.pro file:
  • start_model_dir   C:\PTC\mytemplates
  • template_solidpart   C:\PTC\mytemplates\myprt.prt
• start Creo and create new part

Hi Jose,

If you are trying to access the default templates, they are installed in the following location, with the Creo 3.0 installation:

<drive_letter>:\<install_folder>\Creo 3.0\<datecode>\Common Files\templates

Please check if this folder is accessible.
