Hi,
Is there a good, current source for downloading Creo Material files? I am looking for commonly used metals and plastics. It seems crazy that every individual or organization has to create their own material library. I'm assuming this has been done many times, but cannot find a definitive source online.

Creo 4.0 comes with the materials below. The reason that more materials aren't provided is because material properties are unique to the application. They can change with temperature, orientation, batch lot and risk. By risk I mean S, B or A basis. Aside from that companies don't want to get sued if you use those properties incorrectly and then your design fails (there are cases where this has happened).
Aside from the default materials that come with Creo 4.0 below there are companies that provide this information:

Online Materials Information Resource - MatWeb

Hello Scott Morris
yes, it seems crazy, but my praxis is the same. l´m supplementing my personal material library (very primitive way).
We don´t use FEM analysis, so the only different betwwen steel materials are: density, file name and description.
In this case it´s not so complicated to create larger library.
Don´t know where to donwload materials library.
Hope someone will upload some surprise link
Regards

Hello
The files are compatible with Creo.
Kind regards.
Denis
Hello,
It's a shame, the link: Materials database is not accessible to everyone?
Cordially.
Denis
I also don't have access.
Make a trial account. Very quick and easy exports.
