Cursor not visible in family table cell

When editing a family table cell, the cursor goes AWOL (missing) and I have remember how many left or right arrows to edit text in a cell. I am using Creo 9.0.4.0.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Any thoughts to a solution.

Brand new systems with the specs called out for Creo 9.0.4.0.

Hi,

in Creo 9.0.2.0 I can edit FT without problems. See video. I guess Creo 9.0.4.0 should work the same way.

Can you check and see if when you are in an active cell and you press "F2" to edit the cell if the cursor shows up?

Then use the right and left arrows, too.

Hi,

Q: Is text cursor displayed in active cell after hitting F2?

Creo 9.0.2.0 ... no

Creo 8.0.4.0 ... no

Creo 7.0.9.0 ... yes

Suggestion: I you have Excel installed then edit FT in Excel.

Thanks Martin!

From what I can see the behavior (missing cursor) is the same when you just start typing in a cell too.

I knew it was consistently inconsistent, but similar to @MartinHanak video I can see the cursor when double clicking on a cell, but moving from cell to cell with the enter key and arrows and then "F2" to edit does not show the cursor.

'Sup Dale!  I'm on Creo 8, but it may be a Windows thing.  We had issues with there not being a cursor on our "Red" systems, and it turned out to be windows settings (Use text cursor indicator)  and (Cursor blink rate).

Best of luck!

I opened a case for cursor disappearing when editing a family table using "F2" key.

Case 16880414 has been opened

The missing cursor was replicated by PTC customer service and the issue has been reported to R&D as SPR 14609846.

FYI ... other users cannot access your Case 16880414.

Running with 9.0.5.0 on two stations and the problem was not resolved. I am opening a new post.

Another discovery:

When editing a cell in the family table using F2, if you Alt-Tab to another item you have open and then Alt-Tab back, the cursor is present and blinking.

Weird!!!
