Feasibility/Optimization feature functionality

In Creo 7 or higher is the following possible using BMX module? 

I have a design problem where I need to make changes to the master model to modify geometry, but the goal definition needs to be defined in the derivative part as the feasibility goal is intrinsic to the derivative part geometry.

If I have a master model and a derivative part dependent on the master can a feasibility study in the derivative part use parametric items (parameters, dimensions) from the master part as variables when setting up the feasibility study?

If not, can feasibility studies between part models be linked to run automatically or would manual iteration be required?
