Dimensioning Chamfers of imported geometry

So I got an imported part and I'm trying to add a chamfer dimension with a
normal leader. this used to work for d dimensions but not for ad? dimensions
"3X &ad:34 X 45 $" with $ being the degree symbol... This model has no d
dimensions so how can I put a reference on a note to fake one? Maybe our
marvelous admin (darn!! that would be me) has a config setting that prevents
the usage of dimension references on a note? (I'm going to have to go ask
him)

regards,

Alfonso

If you set "create_drawing_dims_only" to "yes", you cannot embed
dimensions, either created or model I believe, in notes.

If you are using WF 4.0 or 5.0, maybe try using the Feature Recognition Tool to convert the imported chamfer into a parametric chamfer, edit the dimension type to the desired type and show that?
