I like to insert a point where you are concerned about the clearance.
Run the mechanism and then select: Insert> Trace Curve
The resulting curve can be used in a drawing to measure the clearance.

I need to determine the clearance between two parts as one pivots around
another. The parts are assembled with mechanism constraints and will
move properly. I'd love to see the clearance on screen in a note and
have it change dynamically as I pivot the parts.
Best I can tell, however, I need to create an analysis feature for each
measurement I want, then create an annotation feature and within that
create a note and then enter the secret gibberish code
(&dim:FID_feature-name) to extract the dimension from the analysis
feature and then place the note someplace.
Is that it, or is there an easier way that I'm missing?
