Effect of rounding of decimal places to part

Hi gurus,

The requirement of this situation is very peculiar and annoying. But there is no other way for me, I need to check and do!

I have a part with drawing. The part is constructed to 4 decimal places. But while showing the dimensions in the drawing, I should show only 2 decimal places.

(Whenever I set the decimal place in the drawing to 2, it automatically updates the part. Which I dont want to happen)

Any quick and possible reply is very much appreciated.

Thanks and regards,
KS Jnanesha

The theory here is that the rounding changes the spec. of the part,
which it does.

Example, you design to 1/8" (0.125"). If shown at 3 places, it may take
a tolerance of +/-0.005 for a range of 0.12-0.13. If you round to two
places, not only does the nominal change to 0.13", the tolerance loosens
up to +/-0.01. The bottom of the range remains the same at 0.12, but
the upper limit increases to 0.14.
