Hi all
I use Creo, how to edit DWG 3D solid ( original form AutoCAD), I has try to open and edit the part, but I don't option to edit, could you please help me
Import/export is not exactly my specialist field, but as far as I know up to now there is no interface between different systems (from PTC or others) or standard formats, which allow to parametrically modify (edit) the imported geometry. This is only possible with native data.
What should be possible, is to add features, in order to add geometry or remove it.
One option to manually make geometry editable, would be using the Feature Recognizion Tool.
It is basically recognizing geometry and replacing it with Creo features.
You can find some basic information about it here:
https://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS58453
You can make IGS or STP format and the open in creo. when you open just right click on the Import feature Id and the go to edit defination the click on + sign called data doctor and in this you can adit your part.
and while coming out from data doctor click on solid part option.
Let me know if this helps
