Import IGS in to Creo Software

Dear PTC Users,

Import IGS file in to Creo Software:

Using PTC Creo Unite technology, we can import the file without data loss.

How we can address the below challenges facing while importing IGS:

1) Adding manual dimension. Not a driving dimension

2) Assume the material already defined in IGS. How as a PTC Creo user, the identify the material - part level.

Regards,

Bhoopathy

You should be able to attach dimensions to edges and vertices of IGES file.

You should also be able to select flat surfaces for dimensions.

You can define the material in the part's properties.

There is a library associated with it.

You can also create your own materials.

I do agree. But i am looking for driving dimensions & bi-directional associativity. thanks in advance,

The closest Creo comes to your request is to use feature recognition.

Creo also has some sort of import/export link with the acronym ATB.

Never had any luck with that.  When you have a part open, it is under the Operations tab.
