Missing Top,Front,Right datum names

Anyone know why my principal datum planes won't display as Top, Front, and Right but instead show up as DTM1, DTM2, and DTM3?

Also, how do I display datums (planes, points, etc.) in the model browser in Assembly mode?

Thanks.

By default, if you create an empty part and then create the default datum planes, they get the names DT!, DTM2 & DTM3. If you want them named, you need to:

  1. Create a template part
  2. Create the planes
  3. Name them
  4. Save it to your start part or template folder.
  5. Set the config option 'start_model_dir' to point to your template folder
  6. Pick your template when you create a new part.
