Publish Geometry/Copy Geometry

I have a problem with publish geometry and copy geometry when publishing a quilt. When I am in the middle of design tree and create quilts for material removal (solidify) and use a publish geometry with the same quilt on the other part, I see an error. When I roll back the master model to the publish geometry and regenerate the slave model the error gone and model regenerates. How I can resolve this problem?

I attached the models and pics to show the problem.

Instead of direct Publish Geometry first copy desired geometry and then in Publish geometry use that Quilt.

As in your case desired geometry defination is wipedout due to cut or protrude.

I hope this will serve your purpose.

The publish geometry feature does not publish the geometry as it exists at that point in the model tree.  It publishes the geometry as it exists at the end of regeneration. That's why you get different results in insert mode vs. full regeneration.

If you need it at a certain point in the regeneration process, do as suggested above, make a copy at that point and publish the copy instead.

I always put my publish geometry features in the footer to reinforce that fact.

Thanks for both of you. I used copy command to create a surface at the end of design tree to create a copy geometry at the footer. But I need to do more work on the slave part to make the quilt as a closed area to create a solid feature ( please see the attached parts). Actually I wanted to use these techniques to have core or cavity of the cast part for using on the outside of that part. Do you know a better method for this purpose ( I create the core of the cast part within the part to have all the data in one place).
