Does anyone know if it is possible to create a relation between the name of a group or other feature to a specific dimension?
Thanks in advance.

If you would elaborate on the design intent motivating this desire to use the group name, it may spur some alternative options to manage what you require. My example above would support driving a dimension from the group via a feature parameter of the group.
To follow what I did you need to consider the levels of parameters available for use in Creo. Considering that if you are in part mode; parameters can be assigned to sections, features, and parts. There are more types of parameters (system and others) but consider part mode to start with. It can quickly become a convoluted mess if you are not quite deliberate about mapping out design intent and structuring the models to support the intent.
Groups are a feature type in Creo and feature parameters can be mapped to a group. The group has a feature ID (meaning Creo treats the group as a feature) as shown in my first screenshot above.

What exactly are you trying to do with such a relation?
I do not believe this is possible as the group name is not recognized as a parameter in Creo as far as I can tell. You are able to create feature parameters that are associated with a group name. You can then use these feature parameters in relations within the model. Groups are features in Creo and have a unique feature ID so they can have feature parameters assigned to them.
As a test case I have created a feature parameter associated with the group "rounds".
You are able to then use these feature parameters in a relation as shown here. Perhaps this would enable what you are seeking to accomplish.
Hi TBraxton,
First of all Thank you for taking the time to answer.
My plan was to use the group name as a mean to change a dimension value i.e. name the group "200" and the related dimension will then change to 200mm from whatever value it was before.
Right now I am not sure I fully understand the method you describe, but I will look into it and see where it leads, thanks.
Regards Kenneth
