Semantic Highlighting Preference in Model Based Design

While creating a part with Model Based Definition utilizing semantic references, when we select an annotation, the edges and related surfaces highlight, but in a way that’s hard to distinguish edges/surfaces.

 

When we select “Semantic Query” the highlights are much more obvious and useful.

 

Looking for a method or setting for making the “Semantic Query”-style highlight for annotations the default behavior (without having to click semantic query first).

 

Snapshots of the current behavior and desired behavior when selecting annotations that contain semantic references below. 

 

Current behavior upon annotation selection:
