Sheetmetal Cut

I am fairly new to pro-e, can someone tell me why when I do a sheetmetal cut the feature in the history tree is an extrude whereas the previous engineer has smt cut in the feature tree. I must be doing something different but I have tried numerous ways but still get extrude in the history tree, I am using wildfire 3. Any help would be much appreciated.

If the previous user used an older version of PROE, the feature could have been named differently. I see this when opening ProE 2001 files. As long as your end result is the same, you shouldn't have any issues.

It can be a big deal in that the sheet metal cut acts differently than a regular extruded cut.

See the attached pdf.

That is true but WF gives both types of extrusion/cut the same name: "Extrude X".

I am using Pro/E WF 5.0 in this also its showing Extrude in model tree, may be it have been changed in the future version
