Supplier step file

Hi all,

A supplier has sent us a step of an assembly file that we will be using.

I want to import it as a single part but when i do the assembly model looks like it loses its' constraints and 'falls to bits'.

Any advice is appreciated.

I use notepad editor and add the line to the config.pro file, then reload the config.pro or restart creo.

There is a HIDDEN config.pro top you can manually add

inft3d_in_as_part YES

Once added, you can import an assy as a part and the parts will retain their locations correctly.

I recommend removing the option afterwards, it's hidden, so it may cause unintended effects.

Thanks Stephen, how do i access the hidden configs?

I use notepad editor and add the line to the config.pro file, then reload the config.pro or restart creo.

Cheers Stephen, that's worked 👍
