UN PICKABLE VIEW

Gurus,

I have a drawing that prints an unwanted view. Try as I may, I cannot
"see" it on the screen and it is un-pickable by query or any other
select. There are two places it turns up, one is the layer tree (in the
pull down) and the other is on any prints. Other than completely
re-doing the drawing, is there any way to select and delete the view
especially as it lays completely across the views I do want?

I’ve seen views that are larger than the screen go ‘unpickable’. Have you tried zooming out and picking the view?

Is there anything hidden in that view layers? You might try Changing drawing scale to something really small.

If zoom way out and pick doesn't work, last resort is try merging the drawing into a new drawing. create a new drawing and Insert; Shared Data from file. Pick the original drawing.

Have you tried changing the active model/rep in the drawing and then try selecting the view?

Lots of different thoughts and suggestions on this problem. In the end I
blew the complete drawing away and redid it. It wasn't that big and it
is always quicker the second time around. A much better idea - as was
suggested by some of you, would have been to .....

Add a second sheet, move all the pickable views unto the new sheet and
then get rid of sheet one.

To this day, I don't know how the spurious view was made, why it was
unpickable or why it only showed up upon printing. As I said, it was
listed in the view tree, but I couldn't do anything with it. I am now
hoping a similar thing will happen to my bank account in the way of a
large random deposit that cannot be deleted.....

Thanks for all your help,

Richard
