An example part ( Creo 7) of flat of form across bend. Flat pattern is included in the part.

The part you posted in not a sheet metal part, so the unbend and flatten are not available for use for this part. The geometry is brought in from a copy geometry feature. Look at the parent model for the copy geom and if it was created as a sheet metal part you can try to flatten that model.

The part was an imported model from other software

Have you tried flatten quilt functionality? The geometry looks to be composed of ruled surfaces so it should work.

That part looks like it is initially bent in the "normal" manner, but then crimped or stamped to put the strengthening feature in. Does sheetmetal handle that kind of deformation? I don't know that it would...

Exactly... I tried to unbend it, I had to remove the geometry of the form in the bottom bend.
I tried also to recognise that geometry as form. But no way to unbend

Perhaps if you create the geometry using two basic forms it may work. One a corner gusset (#1). An example of such a gusset is shown in the second second picture. Such a gusset will flatten using the flatten form function, so crossing a bend with the form is not an issue.

The unbend command doesn't work well with some types of stamping forms. In this particular case, it doesn't work also.
But as you suggest the flat pattern works!
Thanks
