Our network security admin released Windows updateKB975561 last night which addresses a "Vulnerability in Windows Movie Maker". This morning, after a reboot, one of my users lost his 2nd monitor. We checked all connections and settings, everything looked good. Rebooted several times. Finally backed out the update, and the second monitor returned! Has anyone else seen this?
Hardware is Dell M6400 with nVidia Quadro FX 3700M, driver version 195.62. (Only system of it's kind on our network.) There is no way to remove Windows Movie Maker from Windows XP, it isn't even a component, just part of the OS I guess.
For now, the user just has to keep saying no to the Windows update that tries to put it back on. Our Security admin says it's too much trouble to create a group just for this one user... Any one have any suggestions?
