Wrapping text around a cylindrical protrusion and then cutting

All,

I just wrapped some text around a cylindrical protrusion. I now want to create a recessed cut, and I want the cut to essentially be radial from the center of the cylindrical protrusion. The cylinder is approximately 1.5" in diameter, and I just want to create text that is recessed approximately .020" into the outer surface of the cylinder.

How do you do this? I do not want to project the text along a straight line. It must be radial.

Sincerely,
Neal Rosenblum

Use the surface offset w/ draft feature. Select normal to side surface in the option menu.
