adding picture in a drawing

In the past we could bring in a "tiff" image to get a picture in our drawings. We are on WF2.0 and we can't seem to get any pictures in drawings anymore?

Does this get fixed in WF 5? It's only been since maybe the last 15
years (that long already?) that putting bitmaps into drawings has been
desirable.

If not, how the heck hard is it for PTC to find a bitmap graphics
library instead of depending on the OLE server previously shipped with
Office 97 Access or whatever? PTC was getting chummy with Adobe -
embedded Photoshop Elements anyone? (Embedded Firefox anyone?)

It's probably due to the OLE server. We found out that when Microsoft removed Photo Editor from the Office Suite, we lost the ability to insert OLE objects in our Drawings.

That's why we kept this "old" tool, just as an LOE server.

This question was brought up before the new WF, at least at that point you could do the following:

"I have done exactly what you are looking for.
First get the jpeg, etc on to the windows clipboard, then on your
drawing go Insert > Object then choose Microsoft Word Document
this will insert a blank Word doc, you can then paste your jpeg into
this new doc.
There are options to insert pictures using this method but I have found
that the Word doc route works best."

Thank you to Sarah Ford for helping us then. It worked for me, however I have not tried it on the new WF.

I forgot to mention although you are using a tiff format, pasting the picture in a word format will still likely give you the same result.
