HI,
I'm doing a drawing, and I want to show an assembly with a set of parts in the "closed" and "open" positions. These parts are a dedicated assembly, and are assembled with the slider constraint. (So I can happliy show others how this 'tray' moves in & out)
How do I show a view, with it in place, and another view with it extended using the limits of the slider constraint? I'm assuming a simple rep, but how do I pick / set the slider constraint in the simple rep?

Using the dragger, move your mechanism to the desired position and then take a snapshot. You can then mark that snapshot as visible to the drawing as an exploded view. See these help pages:
